Wonderful question! I understand there are lots of people who think juicing is not the best way to take in your daily assortment of fruits and vegetables because it lacks fiber and substance. However, you must see it in a different light. Fiber is wonderful for your body to breakdown and digest your food! However, if you take out fiber, you are giving your body time to rest and instead of it having to break everything down and sort through what you do and don't need, the enzyme and mineral filled juice will flush your digestive tract and rid it of toxins, free radicals, and level out your pH. Also, you must take into account the amount of whole fruits and vegetables that normally go into a 16 oz glass of juice could not be eaten in one sitting! With juicing, you are maximizing on nutrients in half the time while resting the one system in your body that is overworked the most!


Juicing and blending are both great and I do both regularly! Juicing is when nutrients are extracted from the fruit or vegetable and the fiber is discarded. Blending is when you put all the fruits and vegetables in a blender with the fiber intact.

Blending helps to slow down sugar intake and fill you up! Juicing is better to hydrate, cleanse, and reboot your digestive tract.


I don't want to sell you a cleanse that is a "crash diet" that will leave you clueless on how to eat afterwards, thus making you go back to your sugar cravings and old ways. I want to create a foundation for your new healthy lifestyle. In order to make this happen, you may need to invest in a few things before you get started. For the cleanse you will need a juicer (or access to a juicer), a blender, and food processor or mixer, and a spiralizer or vegetable peeler, and a nut milk bag or cheese cloth.

What type of juicer, blender, and mixer do you recommend?

There are several juicers, blenders, and processors out there ranging in various prices, styles, and design. Here are a few that I recommend depending on your budget, lifestyle, and family size: There are several kinds of juicers available and a few that are perfect for at home uses:


1. CENTRIFUGAL FORCE JUICERS (the fast juicers) : This juicer is fast, quick, and easy to use at home for someone who does not have a lot of time! It is a quick cleanup and great for juicing for a lot of people at a time. They are also great to get started with for less of a financial commitment. Con- the centrifugal juicers use force ( which can create a little bit of heat) to break down the fruit and vegetable so the enzymes will start losing nutrients within hours of juicing. It is great to drink right after juicing and not to keep in the refrigerator for too long.





2. MASTICATING JUICERS (Slower juices): This juicer is for someone who wants to yield the most juice out of your produce and has a little bit more time on your hands. It slowly chews the fruit and vegetables using little to no heat making the juice less foamy and will last up to 72 hours in a sealed jar or container. Con- it does take more time to juice and clean. It is also a bit more expensive, but the quality of juice may be worth it to you!

Blender recommendations

Like juicers, there are several types of blenders out there; some can double as a food processor and are created with different features that are wonderful, but they come with a bigger price tag. You also need to consider how many you will be blending for and how often. Below I listed a few that I have or recommend (you do not need the nicest blender to do the cleanse!)

This it totally up to you: how much money and space you have. There are only a few out there and if you do not want to get one you can use your vegetable peeler to create thin, wide noodle like pasta out of your zucchini  (spiralizers just help with the process and helps take out the seeds instead of doing it manually).
