His Legacy

Today marks two years since the death of my grandfather. The miracle is that he should have died 23 years prior. He was given 6 months to live after being diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma skin cancer in 1991. Not only did he fight the battle of cancer, but he won! He writes in his book,  "I've had two major eye opening experiences in my life. The first one came on Easter day in 1946 while serving in the U.S. Army Air Force. I became a Christian. Right there in that Army chapel I turned my life over to Jesus. I couldn't believe I had been so blind to so many things before! The second eye opener happened in Mexico forty-five years later where I went for the Gerson Therapy... Within minutes of arrival, I was given a glass of carrot juice.. There were patients from all continents with every disease imaginable. Many of them were classified 'terminal' like I was. But what was I seeing? Almost without exception, they were getting well."

Both of his eye opening experiences laid a foundation for our family and myself to journey through. He spent his whole life preaching the great news of eternal salvation and how to effectively take care of our health in order to serve such a sick world.

I am thankful for his life, his fight, and ultimately his faith. We are all looking for the cure and he was always the first to share it. My hope and prayer for everyone who is reading is to know that you are loved by the one and only God of the universe! He gives us true freedom from the hurt and troubles of this world. He also gave us our bodies to honor, not destroy, by giving us living foods to nourish it with!

When I first thought of the idea of NOURISH, I struggled with the idea of starting another cleansing program when I felt the market was saturated with it. However, when I prayed about how NOURISH would be different, the Lord made it very clear that it had to be about HIM. The cleansing programs out there are giving praise to the plants, the fruits and vegetables, and inevitably our own bodies and not the true source.

"For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen."
